Extraction cycles

Mining is a bounded job: you start it with an explicit batch count, and it ends once those batches are claimed or the deposit runs out, whichever comes first — a claim never banks past the schedule. An extractor mines in whole cycles of its miningDurationSec; each cycle yields yieldFor(cycle) units at the global tempo ρ (154,300 units/hour, the same tempo crafting uses).

Switch cost

Switch cost — the $CPU burned when you point a building at a different output: another resource for an extractor, another recipe for a crafter. It is 25% of that building's own build cost, so a higher-level building costs more to re-tool. The first pick after you build is free, and restarting the same output is always free — only changing it costs. A dash means the building has only one possible output, so it can never switch.

The mining-side prices are the fifth column of the extraction table above. The wafer fab is the only switchable crafter today, priced per level below.
